The position will be based in
Blackrock, Co. Dublin, but will include regular travel to client sites and
may incorporate a specific portion of time on site each week.
to the Managing Director the successful candidate will have responsibility
Audits - Undertaking energy audits, preparation of the associated detailed
reports including the quantification of the potential savings.
Management - Reviewing monthly energy reports, identifying issues,
proposing solutions and communicating these to the client. Working with key
clients to plan and supervise the implementation of energy saving measures.
Assisting clients implement energy management systems, such as ISO50001
Management - Designing, procuring, and overseeing energy efficient repair,
retrofit and installation projects.
& Verification - Quantifying energy savings achieved and reporting on
these, including for the Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme.
On a day to day level the successful
candidate will undertake a range of activities, including:
analyses of clients energy use.
surveys to identify main energy consumers and factors driving energy use.
building services plant and equipment including HVAC, chillers, boilers,
air compressors, pumps and the associated controls (BEMS).
of energy consumption by direct instrumentation use e.g. ammeter, power
recorder, flue gas analyser, flow meter, manometer to quantify energy use
and plant and/or system efficiency.
of energy saving opportunities, quantifying the likely savings and
and providing cost-benefit analysis of energy retrofit projects, such as
HVAC upgrade projects.
existing installation and prepare detailed design of new installation,

Desired Skills and Expertise
must hold mechanical or building services engineering qualification (Level
7 or 8), with 5-8 years of relevant practical experience.
applicant must have good written and verbal communication skills, and
strong numeracy skills. They must have a solid understanding of best
practice building services. They must be self-motivated, well-organised,
flexible, conscientious and hard working.

Position - Energy Engineer - Internship (6 months)
intern will gain practical experience in the field of energy
engineering while working within a consultancy environment.
intern will receive formal/informal training in the following areas;
of energy reduction measures on our client's sites as well as aiding senior
engineers in managing their implementation.

required format for presentation. An understanding of the principles of how
